Born in the Chicago area but a member of the North Idaho/Spokane community since age 3, Tessa is excited to help Innovia Foundation create lasting impacts where she grew up. Tessa earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Whitworth University, inspired to pursue teaching by her own schooling background and exceptional teachers. While at Whitworth, she dedicated time to dorm leadership and the Whitworth Choir where she served as chaplain for two years. After graduating, she spent several years teaching Middle School history in Coeur d’Alene.
Tessa loves spending free time with her husband, Daniel, daughter, Jolie, and local extended family. She considers herself a ‘hobbyist’, always picking up skills and trying new activities. Tessa enjoys fitness, nurturing plants, knitting, reading, camping, and entertaining her toddler. Years growing up in rural Idaho and in 4H equestrian training and competition shaped her natural love of quiet and focused achievement.
