Innovia Foundation awards more than $1.3 million to regional organizations

Spokane, WA – Innovia Foundation is awarding $1,307,505 in grants to 125 organizations in Eastern Washington and North Idaho through its annual Community Grants Program. The grants support education and youth development, health and wellbeing, arts and culture, economic opportunity and improved quality of life.

The Community Grants Program is made possible by donors who have established funds at Innovia to address critical needs and emerging opportunities across the region. Funding priorities are shaped in partnership with local volunteer advisory committees, ensuring community insight guides each investment. Based on committee recommendations, the 2026 program focused on supporting nonprofit organizations that strengthen stability and foster a sense of belonging. Funded proposals advance this goal by expanding access to essential services — including food, housing, healthcare, childcare, and education — and by creating inclusive spaces that bring people together, build relationships, and ensure all community members can participate and thrive.

“Healthy communities begin where basic needs are met and connection among neighbors is possible,” shares CEO Shelly O’Quinn. “For 52 years, Innovia’s grantmaking programs have strengthened our community fabric by uniting generous donors with nonprofits serving local needs. This year, we continue that legacy by investing in projects that build the stability and sense of belonging our communities need to thrive.”
