Lifelong Ritzville farmers Willard and Patricia Hennings understood the power of generosity.
Already the founders of funds supporting the beautification of Ritzville and the advancement of graduate medical education in rural neighborhoods, the couple established a scholarship fund in memory of their late daughter for the benefit of Adams County students. The Hennings had a vision for providing the next generation of students with a sustainable source of educational support: a vision we share at Innovia. As an educational success initiative that asks entire communities to come around children in pursuing their dream of post-secondary education, we are rallying our networks around the Bold Promise Educational Initiative, which is modeled after the Say Yes to Education program. The students of our rural communities will be empowered to achieve their postsecondary education goals, thanks to the big-hearted generosity of donors like Willard and Patricia Hennings.
For three generations, the Hennings inhabited Ritzville and through their philanthropic legacy, they ensured their beloved community will thrive, both in its physical beauty and its community of people. Their children are proud to carry on the legacy of generosity. Curtis, son of Willard and Patricia, and his wife Erika, remain farmers in Ritzville today and are featured above.
