In response to our community’s desire to aid people in war-torn Ukraine, a leadership group of more than a half-dozen Spokane-area churches has launched the Ukraine Relief Fund to provide emergency relief and refugee assistance.
In recent weeks, concerned residents from across the Inland Northwest – many of whom are Innovia Foundation donors – have inquired about ways to financially assist Ukrainians in the face of a military invasion from Russia.
Among the churches included are Center of Life Church, Father’s House Church, International Mission Church, Light of The Salvation Baptist Church, Pacific Keep Church, Pilgrim Slavic Baptist Church, and Spokane Slavic Baptist Church.
Also, local, St. Aloysius Parish is taking donations to be shared with Catholic Charities Emergency Fund and Catholic Relief Services and its ministry to Ukrainian refugees.
Spokane Helps Ukraine is selling t-shirts with all proceeds going directly to feed and provide supplies to the people of Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Nationally, the following nonprofits also have launched relief funds for Ukraine:
- Berks Community Foundation, ISAR Ednannia
- CARE, Ukrainian Crisis Fund
- Catholic Relief Services, Urgent Need in Ukraine
- World Vision, Ukraine Crisis Fund
Innovia Foundation will continue to support donor generosity in our region by monitoring and vetting other appropriate donor opportunities as circumstances change in Ukraine.
