Innovia Foundation Announces Longest Table Program

This summer, Innovia’s Longest Table grants are helping communities across Eastern Washington and North Idaho come together to share a meal and strengthen connections. Microgrants of up to $2,500 will support a minimum of 60 Longest Table events taking place between June 1 and September 30.  The Longest Table is a growing movement built on a simple, powerful idea: sharing a meal. Community members across the nation are gathering in public spaces and on main streets to sit down across from one another and build new relationships.

As our nation marks 250 years, this initiative offers an opportunity to reflect on where we are today—both as a country and a region and to imagine the hopes and possibilities we hold for the future.
In that spirit, Longest Table participants are invited to participate in a region-wide flag mosaic project. The mosaic is created through photo submissions responding to the prompt: “What is my America at 250?” View the mosaic and submit a photo at innovia.org/250-mosaic.

“Innovia is honored to launch this impactful initiative in communities across our region,” says Shelly O’Quinn, CEO of Innovia Foundation. “Bringing neighbors around the same table and sparking conversations is a powerful way to reduce isolation, promote belonging, and strengthen social trust.”

Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis and can be used to cover organizing costs such as tables and chairs, permits, promotional materials, and youth activities.
The Longest Table is presented in partnership with STCU. Learn more and apply for a grant at innovia.org/the-longesttable
