Innovia Foundation Elects Board Officers for New Fiscal Year
Spokane, WA, July 23, 2024 – Innovia Foundation is pleased to announce the election of Board Officers for fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).
As dedicated and thoughtful leaders within their communities, Innovia’s Board Officers lend their extraordinary expertise and talent to help Innovia improve the quality of life throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho. These individuals volunteer countless hours to help Innovia remain responsive and impactful in addressing the greatest local needs and opportunities.

Marcelo Morales, Innovia Foundation President
Founder, A4 Ventures
Marcelo Morales is a founder, investor and CEO in the health care and life sciences industries. Morales moved to Spokane from Toronto in 2008 to become CEO of Jubilant HollisterStier. After several years in that role, he started his own entrepreneurial activities, founding A4 Ventures, a health technology investment group with activities spanning the United States, Canada and Chile. Morales also co-founded Allele Diagnostics, a diagnostics laboratory specializing in rapid genetic testing and research. He has served on several boards, including Spokane County United Way and Greater Spokane Incorporated. Marcelo and his family reside in Spokane.
Ryan Nipp, Innovia Foundation Vice President
Partner, Asset Manager, Parkwood Business Properties
Ryan Nipp is a Partner at Parkwood Business Properties, a commercial real estate development and management company located in Coeur d’Alene, where he manages a portfolio of commercial assets, including office, medical office, tech-flex and retail properties. He also serves as Asset Manager and is involved in the company’s new development activities, including leasing, finance and construction management. Nipp has served on a number of boards, including the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce which he chaired, past president of the EXCEL Foundation, past Chairman of the Board of CDA2030 and a current member of the Regence BlueShield of Idaho Board of Directors. He and his wife Teri and sons, Alexander and Trey, reside in Coeur d’Alene.
Patricia “Pat” Wright, Innovia Foundation Secretary-Treasurer
Councilmember, City of Pullman
Pat Wright has been a resident of Pullman since 1975 and has been actively involved in community leadership since 1989. She has served on the boards of directors of United Way of Pullman, Pullman Education Foundation, Pullman Regional Hospital Auxiliary and Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation. She was also a member of the Pullman Civil Service Commission and currently serves on the board for the Pullman Chamber of Commerce. Wright was General Manager of The Bookie and continues to advocate for the economic development and revitalization of Pullman, where she and her husband Ray, a retired WSU professor, call home.
Rick Rasmussen, Innovia Foundation Immediate Past President
CEO, Northwest Specialty Hospital
Rick Rasmussen is the CEO of Northwest Specialty Hospital, an award-winning specialty surgical hospital located in Post Falls. Before joining the hospital, Rasmussen spent 25 years at L-P Corporation in Hayden Lake. He grew up in Coeur d’Alene and was Valedictorian and Student Body President at Coeur d’Alene High School. Rasmussen is very active in the Kootenai County community and was elected to the North Idaho Officials Association’s Hall of Fame. He currently serves on the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a member of Rotary Club. Rick and his wife Sharyl, who reside in Hayden Lake, have two daughters and one granddaughter.
