COVID-19 Response and Recovery Funds for Eastern Washington Accepting Applications through March 8

SPOKANE, WA, February 12, 2021 — Innovia Foundation announces a third round of grant funding available to community-based organizations engaged in COVID-19 response and recovery efforts in Eastern Washington.

Applications for funding are being accepted through March 8, and grant recipients will be announced by April 9. Approximately $1.2 million is available to award throughout the 10 counties Innovia serves in Eastern Washington. Application information can be found on our website at innovia.org/nonprofits.

The goal of this grant round is to provide financial support to communities made more vulnerable and most impacted by COVID-19.

Applicants must be providing or proposing programs that address one or more of the following focus areas:

• Access to basic needs (which can include food, safe shelter, diapers, transportation, financial assistance, etc.)
• Access to healthcare (including mental health supports, vaccine education and delivery, personal protective equipment (PPE) and treatment)
• Access to education, childcare and out-of-school programming
• Stimulating economic vitality and workforce development

Direct Response Grants will be awarded to assist organizations in providing immediate direct services to help people mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. These
grants will range from $2,500 – $15,000.

Solutions Accelerator Grants range from $10,000 – $40,000 and will support collaborative efforts between two or more entities (nonprofit, business, academic, public agencies, etc.).

The COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund – Eastern Washington is hosted at Innovia Foundation in partnership with Empire Health Foundation and Spokane County United Way. The funds are supported by contributions from local and regional funders. Since March 2020, more than $2.7 million has been raised to distribute across the region. We have already distributed $1.4 million in funding.
