In April, our region springs to life with community gatherings and celebrations that bring people together around causes that matter. Throughout the month, Innovia Foundation will invest in free, family-friendly events that educate and build awareness around causes important to local communities, including sparking imagination through science education, inspiring creativity in the arts and building hopeful futures for youth.

Innovia Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Community Heart & Soul Program throughout its 20-county service area in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Community Heart & Soul will provide funding and program support to rural communities with a population under 30,000 to initiate a resident-driven process to engage the entire community in identifying what they love most about their community, what they want for the future and how to achieve it.

Civic and service organizations form the bedrock of our communities, uniting volunteers around local needs and opportunities. This March, Innovia Foundation is proud to partner with the Pomeroy Spinners to spotlight the vital role these organizations fulfill across our region.

For decades, historic movie houses across Eastern Washington and North Idaho have served as welcoming places where neighbors, families and friends can come together to experience art and entertainment.

During the month of February, Innovia Foundation is shining a spotlight on some of these beloved historic theaters by offering free screenings of family-friendly films.

Innovia Foundation proudly announces “Celebrating Community,” a year-long, region-wide celebration of the volunteers, citizens and organizations that have faithfully served the needs of communities for 50 years in Eastern Washington and North Idaho.

Innovia Foundation recently awarded $393,038 in scholarships to students throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho for the 2023-2024 school year. Innovia manages over 30 scholarship programs on behalf of donors who have established funds to help students achieve their higher education goals.

Innovia Foundation is among four local funders making donations today totaling $200,000 to assist communities affected by regional wildfires. Additional funding partners include Washington Trust Bank, STCU’s Here for Good Foundation, and Premera Blue Cross. Each is making a gift of $50,000 to the Wildfire Emergency Response Fund at Innovia.

Innovia Foundation has opened a Wildfire Emergency Response Fund to support nonprofit organizations, businesses and community organizations working to meet the needs of those impacted by current wildfires in the region.  

Innovia Foundation has awarded $1,129,712 in grants to 126 organizations in Eastern Washington and North Idaho through the Community Grant Program.

Innovia Foundation has opened registration for a two-part Community Book Club series this spring to encourage thoughtful conversations amid polarizing times.
