NONPROFIT COMPLIANCE: NONPROFIT-RELATED RULES AND HOW TO FOLLOW THEM
Nonprofit compliance can feel overwhelming, in part because rules come from many different places. Local, state, and federal agencies all play a role in governing nonprofits, and it’s not always clear where to turn when questions arise.
This interactive session will help you understand who governs nonprofits and how the rules are organized. We’ll look at the different agencies and levels of government involved in nonprofit compliance, what each one oversees, and how to navigate requirements when questions come up. Specific topics we will cover:
-
Required state corporation and charity filings
-
Required IRS tax return filing
-
Donor requirements
-
Safety and health rules
-
Worker-related rules
Our goal is to help you understand what you need to know—and where to look when you don’t
