Spokane Homeless Connect and Spokane Valley Connect
The Spokane Homeless Connect is the largest and longest-running homeless services event in the Spokane region. It brings a multitude of social services under the roof to serve those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. In one afternoon, guests access everything from housing assistance to a haircut and hot meal.
The Homeless Connect began in 2011 at the Emanual Center. It has grown over the years, and by 2024, the Homeless Connect served 1,500 guests in the Spokane Convention Center. Seeing a need in Spokane Valley, 10 miles from downtown, the first Spokane Valley Connect was held in 2018. This event is smaller, but tailored to the needs of those living in Spokane Valley.
The Spokane Connect planning committee plans both the Spokane Homeless Connect and the Spokane Valley Connect and is a subcommittee of the Spokane Homeless Coalition. Volunteers come together and collaborate with agencies, nonprofits, churches and other dedicated individuals in the Greater Spokane area, all committed to serving those in need throughout our community.
