Couple establishes fund to benefit Coeur d’Alene area

Georgianne and Christopher Jessen moved to the Coeur d’Alene area in 2002. Both come from backgrounds in health care. Georgianne started her career as a registered nurse and retired as a CEO with the Providential Health System in Southern California. Chris is a retired orthopedic surgeon who had a practice in Burbank, California, and also taught orthopedic surgery at USC as an associate clinical professor.

The Jessens are grateful to be part of a compassionate and giving community in the Inland Northwest, and they currently volunteer at nonprofit organizations in the Coeur d’Alene area. Their search for a way to leave a legacy to their community led to Innovia Foundation, an organization also dedicated to this goal.

They established a designated endowment fund in 2015 to benefit the nonprofit entities of their choice. In the future, a portion of the principal of this fund will be used to establish an area of interest endowment fund to further fulfill Georgianne and Christopher’s charitable goals.
