Lumberjack Booster Club

In St. Maries, Idaho, the Lumberjack Booster Club at St. Maries High School unites students, parents, coaches, faculty, staff, and the larger community through moral and financial support. In 2024, a $10,000 grant from Innovia supported a Community Unity and Safety Equipment project, helping amplify the Booster Club’s important mission by enhancing player safety beginning in the recent football season.

Funding was primarily used to supply the team with soft-shelled helmet covers for practices, designed to limit impact to the head. “The Guardian Caps made a noticeable impact on the health of our student athletes,” says Head Coach Hayden Humphrey. “With football specifically, we had zero concussions or concussion-like symptoms during the 2024 football season.” Going forward, the Idaho High School Activities Association will allow Guardian Caps to be worn in games.
