The Dale Dean Martin “Built Different” Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to celebrate those with the same caring heart and love for community as Dale Martin. A senior at Colville High School, Dale tragically passed away in 2021 after suffering a severe injury during a football game. 

To honor his life, Colville came together to establish the fund, providing scholarships for promising Colville High School students, like Dale. 

Dale loved football and fishing and was described as a goofy kid with an amazing spirit. His mother, Monica Martin, noted the number of community members who came forward to share Dale’s positive impact. “It was so many,” she says. “It was quite amazing, and it meant a lot.” Through the fund, Dale’s legacy will create opportunities for generations of future students.
